Away Days holds your family's travel plans, so here's plainly what it keeps and who handles it.
What's stored
Your name, email, and a scrambled version of your password (never the password itself). The trips, bookings and games you add: dates, times, places, confirmation numbers and costs.
When you forward an email, its text is kept only until the booking details are pulled out, then deleted. If nothing is found, the email is kept for up to 30 days so you can try reading it again, then deleted.
Who can see it
Only you, unless you share a trip with a team. Teammates then see your name, when you arrive and leave (with flight numbers), and where you're staying for that trip. They never see confirmation numbers, costs, or the emails you forwarded. You can stop sharing at any time.
The person who runs this site can see account names and email addresses to manage sign-ups.
Services that handle it
- Render hosts the app and its database.
- Postmark receives the emails you forward and sends the app's own emails, like password resets.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads forwarded emails and schedules to pull out the details.
Your information isn't sold or used for advertising.
Your choices
You can download everything as a spreadsheet, and delete your account and all its data from Settings at any time.
